GRO Census entries 1841 - 1921 - Yearly totals by County

These figures relate to the numbers I hold for each of the census years in the UK, using my own extractions from census films, on-line transcriptions and indexes, and other census records held on CD. I would not claim it is comprehensive, as there are entries no doubt waiting to still be discovered where the writing is poor and difficult to read. If the county does not appear in the list below then no entries have been found in any census year. 1939 numbers (as of February 2016) have been added to the table, but of course these figures don't include everyone as living people are omitted. They do still show the relative 'spread' of people across the counties. Scottish figures for 1911/1921/1939 are not (yet) included.
