| PASSENGER DETAILS :- |
| John James Preece travelled to
New York on the "Eastern Queen", arriving 5 Jul
1851. He was 1 year old, and was with his parents
John, a 44 year old Stone Mason, and Ann (39). Also
travelling with them were John (senior) two brothers
- Richard, a wheelwright aged 40, with his wife of
only a few months Ann (28) - it is not clear if
Ann's son Arthur (Ocock) was also on board. Finally,
Thomas Preece (42) was the third brother, also a
wheelwright. He was with his wife Sarah (42) and
their two children Thomas (4) and Sarah Jane (6).
All three brothers were sons of John and Sarah
Preece from Wellington , and they also had a younger
sister Elizabeth. |
